If you have never been up in a helicopter it's definitely a great experience. The sites were beautiful even on a gloomy day. The staff and... read more pilot were great. Flew over Cape Town, Table Mountain and all the surrounding waterfront areas. I would definitely do this again and would recommend it to anyone going to Cape Town.

Four of us booked this experience in a 4 seater helicopter for an agreed price but when we arrived at the helicopter base it became clear that at least one... read more of us would not have any view, unless we upgraded the size of the helicopter to a 6 seater. The layout inside the helicopter was such that a central console blocked any forward view for those passengers not sitting with the pilot.
We were very annoyed about it but felt we had no choice but to upgrade. The cost had increased of course and we set off in an angry mood.
Once in the sky however, the weather was clear and we all had superb views, loving every minute of our 20 minute ride along the coast and then around the back of Table Mountain.
The pilot was very helpful in pointing out items of interest and we took lots of photos.
Check views and positioning before booking your flight!

A Helicopter ride may seem a little pricey but it's something you'll never forget.
We were given return transport from the V&A to the heliport and offered a glass of... read more bubbly during the safety briefing.
The flight itself was incredible with the pilot offering lots of info as we passed the various landmarks.
I'll add that both my wife and myself don't like heights at all but this was never an issue.
Go on - treat yourself. You won't see Cape Town any better way.
