Placed in South Africa’s top ten restaurants, this eatery promotes itself as “the true marriage of food and wine”. Winemaker Achim von Arnim, and chef Matthew Gordon (a helicopter pilot himself) have developed a spectacular concept where food dishes have been especially created for specific wines. Order a small portion with the matching glass of wine, or a large portion with a bottle. Set in a beautiful cellar on some of the highest slopes in Franschoek, Haute Cabriere is soemthing quite extraordinary.
